President Ryder Todd Smith, Principal Jennifer Nentwig, Principal Jon Barilone, Director Jennifer Vaughn, Senior Business Analyst Saara Lampwalla, Business Analyst Allison Torres, Business Analyst Danielle Rodriguez, Business Analyst Kaetlyn Hernandez and Junior Business Analyst Cailyn Thompson will be in attendance at the 2022 League of California Cities (Cal Cities) Annual Conference and Expo in Long Beach, CA from September 7-9, 2022.

“I’m ecstatic to have the Cal Cities Annual Conference be my first large conference with Tripepi Smith. I look forward to connecting with as many local government professionals and leaders as possible,” said Allison.

Team Tripepi Smith will not only participate in the conference as attendees, but Jennifer Nentwig will moderate the session, “Going Green By 2025: Implementing SB 1383 in California Communities.” Joining her is Michael Balliet Consulting President Michael Balliet, City of Millbrae Councilmember Ann Schneider, CalRecycle Branch Chief Cara Morgan and Abound Food Care CEO Mike Learakos who will share their experiences implementing and educating communities on SB 1383. Tripepi Smith is currently assisting several public agencies with developing their SB 1383 outreach plans and putting them into action. Learn more about our services here.

“SB 1383 is requiring California residents and businesses to make big changes to their waste and recycling habits, and change is not always easy. This gives local government agencies the daunting responsibility of educating communities on how to correctly recycle organics,” said Jennifer Nentwig. “I’m confident that attendees will leave this session with an expanded knowledge on the legislation and how to effectively implement it within their jurisdictions.”

Tripepi Smith is a Principal Partner of Cal Cities. This year’s conference will feature networking events and educational sessions covering topics, like current legislation issues, economic development, equity, land use, climate action plans and more.

About Cal Cities

The League of California Cities has been shaping the Golden State’s political landscape since the association was founded in 1898. We defend and expand local control through advocacy efforts in the Legislature, at the ballot box, in the courts, and through strategic outreach that informs and educates the public, policymakers, and opinion leaders. Cal Cities also offers education and training programs designed to teach city officials about new developments in their field and exchange solutions to common challenges facing their cities.
