Ryder Explores New Community Alert Solutions at MMASC Annual Conference
Tripepi Smith President Ryder Todd Smith will join Global Public Agency Lead at Nextdoor, Joseph Porcelli and Politics and Government Outreach Team Member at Facebook, Jannelle Watson in a presentation at the Municipal Management Association of Southern California (MMASC) Annual Conference. The session, “Emergency Alerts: Not Just Nixle Anymore”, will be on October 29, 2020 from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The panel will go over the Facebook Local Alerts and Nextdoor Emergency Alerts systems and their features, and how public agencies can best leverage these tools.
“The ongoing shift in our digital world has forced public agencies to adjust how they reach residents in times of crisis. Plus, here in California, we seem to be seeing crises more than ever,” Ryder said. “Dan and Janelle’s insights on digital emergency alerts will leave attendees with a new knowledge on how to spread emergency messaging to residents quickly.”
