Tripepi Smith Creates Inspiring Video to Showcase City of Paramount’s Journey Toward Excellence
In April 2023, the City of Paramount partnered with Tripepi Smith to create a video to highlight Pitch in Paramount, a program to revitalize a city full of character and life in the Los Angeles Gateway area. The video was part of Paramount’s application process in hopes of once again receiving the Helen Putnam Award of Excellence. Offered by the League of California Cities, this award recognizes the achievements that California cities have made through their distinctive contributions to the community, local businesses and residents. Through the video, one can see that Pitch in Paramount has restored and enhanced multiple neighborhoods and public spaces — and Paramount has no plans to stop anytime soon.
“Tripepi Smith’s work on this video encapsulates the spirit and purpose behind this initiative,” said John Moreno, City Manager of Paramount. “Their creativity captured the program’s partnership between city staff and the community in our effort to harbor lasting, meaningful change together.”
Featuring interviews from the program’s partners and participants, the video reflects the passion and commitment of the community. Kids and adults had smiles on their faces while they gathered to paint flower murals, plant trees and simply enjoy working together. The video produced by Tripepi Smith displays a sense of connection between those who live in Paramount and those inspired by what the city is working to achieve.
