Tripepi Smith Supports SGV CMA’s Virtual Spring Workshop

San Gabriel Valley City Managers Association logoOn June 16th, the San Gabriel Valley City Manager’s Association kicked off a virtual rendition of their annual Summer Seminar with the guidance and support of Tripepi Smith. Every year, city managers from across the San Gabriel Valley come together to participate in the SGV CMA Spring Seminar to learn and discuss current hot topics and the latest trends in local government and leadership. This year, like many things, the Summer Seminar went virtual with Tripepi Smith providing all the logistical and technical support for its smooth execution over Zoom.

This year’s seminar included panels on the American Rescue Plan logistics and innovative program ideas, remote working in the public sector, a conversation with young city councilmembers, a COVID-19 health update by Los Angeles County’s Director of Public Health Dr. Ferrer and a discussion on leadership with Assistant Coach of the Golden State Warriors, Ron Adams.

The Tripepi Smith team, led by Junior Business Analyst Clare Burgess, worked behind the scenes during the entire event, making sure all speakers were on time and technology was running properly. For months leading up to the event, Clare and Tripepi Smith President Ryder Todd Smith helped to organize the subcommittee made up of six city managers from the San Gabriel Valley, scheduled, attended and took notes during their virtual subcommittee meetings, and organized technology checks with each panelist ahead of the seminar. These efforts and measures by the Tripepi Smith team produced an issue-free, and more importantly, engaging virtual Spring Seminar.

“Tripepi Smith had a great experience working with the SGV city manager community. We are proud to be strong supporters of the SGV city management community, and their expertise, insights and connections created a powerful agenda of sessions,” said Clare. “The SGV City Manager Association aims to bring leadership tools to its members, and Tripepi Smith was honored that it could assist the association to achieve that goal, especially during COVID when communication between city leadership is more vital now than ever, but also more challenging.”

Recordings of the Zoom sessions are available only at the SGV CMA website here: https://sgvcma.org/2021-spring-sgvcma-seminar-coming-back-stronger/
