Skyler Addison Joins Team Tripepi Smith
Tripepi Smith welcomed Skyler Addison as a new Junior Business Analyst on August 2, 2021.
“I am eager to participate in the inner workings of local government and contribute my marketing and technology skillset to helping agencies succeed,” Skyler said. “Tripepi Smith offers a unique work environment built around a remote workforce that really appealed to me. They have invested in really nice technology to support my productivity, and I have gotten tons of support from my teammates.”
Skyler has a background in communication, specializing in both technical and analytical writing. She is a recent graduate of Claremont McKenna College, receiving honors in her dual Literature and Government B.A. As a recipient of the Appel Fellowship, Skyler was afforded the opportunity to travel throughout California’s national and state parks, which culminated in a published poetry compilation that was presented at the Marian Miner Cook Athenaeum.
On campus, Skyler held an array of leadership positions that focused on creative content output. She worked as the Director of Arts for the College Programming Board where she budgeted and executed an array of interactive arts-related events. She was also Editor at both the Claremont Colleges’ satirical magazine and at the CMC Forum newspaper. She most recently served as Student Manager for the Gould Center for Humanistic Studies. At this campus-based research institute, she helped to establish creative research fellowships and robust online programming for students, challenging her to combine creative thinking with logistical savvy.
Skyler also had a chance to strengthen her storytelling professionally. She interned for David Black Literary Agency as well as for a congressional campaign where she specialized in community outreach. Through these experiences, she gained a keen understanding of communication style and its importance in connecting with an audience.
“Tripepi Smith is looking forward to seeing Skyler’s work as our firm continues to grow. Her combination of public policy interests with her literature major is a match made in heaven for the firm,” said President Ryder Todd Smith. “We know that Skyler’s creative capabilities will produce compelling and quality deliverables for our clients.”
