Peter Johnson Joins Team Tripepi Smith
Tripepi Smith welcomed Peter Johnson, a resident of San Luis Obispo, to the team as the newest Business Analyst on June 26, 2023. Peter joined seven other Tripepi Smith hires in what marked the company’s largest single day of team growth in its history.

Prior to Tripepi Smith, Peter worked as assistant editor of the San Luis Obispo New Times, a weekly newspaper publishing since 1986. In his five years in this role, he served as a senior reporter covering county and city government and regional topics like the environment, agriculture and courts. He also helped direct the paper’s editorial coverage and managed freelance writers.
Peter earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Communication from Stanford University. He is passionate about enhancing trust in local government through transparency, thoughtful communication and healthy media relations.
