MMANC taps Tripepi Smith for a Website Refresh

MMANC logo redesignIn the summer of 2021, the Municipal Management Association of Northern California (MMANC), a key organization in the California local government space focused on developing leaders, looked to Team Tripepi Smith for assistance in a brand refresh and website update.

In collaboration with the MMANC Board of Directors, Creative Director Kevin Bostwick, Senior Business Analyst Saara Lampwalla and Business Analyst Kaetlyn Hernandez created an updated Brand Guide that upheld the same look that MMANC members are familiar with but with modern colors that better reflect the Association’s marketing materials. In addition, a Tone and Voice Guide was also provided to assist MMANC officers with creating consistent messaging. The development of these materials then led the Tripepi Smith design team to create an updated logo redesign that would be showcased on the website, social media and other marketing materials.

“While MMANC’s mission remains the same, it is only natural for our organization and membership to change and grow as time goes on. We wanted to make sure that our brand was matching our identity and speaking to our members,”  said 2023 MMANC President John Stefanski. “Tripepi Smith’s guidance helped us to hone in on that, which resulted in a refreshed brand that puts MMANC at the forefront of modern design. I want to thank Tripepi Smith for their long-standing support of our organization.”

With the updated branding, the need for a revitalized online appearance arose. MMANC and Tripepi Smith worked together to identify ways to improve their website’s various aspects and execute the vision. The website is now more user-friendly and flexes a contemporary look. “MMANC is well-known in California’s public agency world, but even established brands need to stay fresh. So it was a pleasure to work with them on subtle modernizations to improve their logo’s appearance and boldness—while still easily recognizable as being the same brand. By doing a combined logo and web tuneup, MMANC was able to quickly modernize their overall appearance,” said Kevin. “As always, a polished, engaging brand encourages people to engage more confidently with important local government work.”
