Katherine Griffiths Renews Accreditation in Public Relations (APR)
Principal Katherine Griffiths has officially renewed her Accreditation in Public Relations (APR). The APR accreditation program is run by the Universal Accreditation Board, a group of nine professional communication organizations, including the California Association of Public Information Officials (CAPIO), of which Tripepi Smith is a Diamond Sponsor. The purpose of the APR program is to unify and advance the profession by identifying specific people who have demonstrated broad knowledge, experience and professional judgment in their careers.
“Completing and maintaining my APR credential has helped flex my theoretical perspective on researching, planning, implementing and evaluating communication programs,” said Griffiths. “I appreciate the opportunity to give back to others interested in pursuing the curriculum through presentations, service and mentoring.”
Katherine completed a vast array of activities over the past three years to earn her renewal including participating in industry events, completing online classes, performing public services such as serving on the Board of Directors for the Blind Children’s Center, and continuing her education and professional development through CAPIO Academy, Meltwater and more.
Katherine is not the lone holder of the accreditation on the Tripepi Smith team, as Principal Jen Nentwig also currently holds the APR designation. These certifications help to set PR professionals apart as a leader in the competitive public relations field.
