Tripepi Smith Principal Katherine Griffiths Chosen as a Meltwater Expert with Insights

  |   News   |   No comment

Tripepi Smith Principal Katherine Griffiths was selected from a pool of 103 applicants as one of 12 expert bloggers for Meltwater’s mCommunity #ExpertWithInsights program. As a thought leader in the areas of media and crisis monitoring, Katherine wrote a series of blog posts published across Meltwater’s social platforms, online community and email subscribers during the month of September.

“My role as a Meltwater #ExpertWithInsights allowed me to share the great work of my Tripepi Smith team and clients, position myself as a thought leader at the forefront of intentional listening and flex my skills in strategic planning, campaign execution and evaluation,” said Katherine. “I am grateful for Tripepi Smith’s supportive, #AlwaysBeLearning culture, as well as my teammates Business Analyst Kalee Cummings and Principal Jon Barilone for their subject matter expertise and writing assistance.”

This honor confirms Katherine’s comprehensive knowledge of Meltwater and is a result of her noteworthy client work and numerous certifications from Meltwater Academy.

In addition to an introductory blog post, Katherine developed three posts based on how the Tripepi Smith team has leveraged Meltwater to put our clients at the forefront of media intelligence:

  • In the first post, “Daily Digest Secret Sauce: Combining Meltwater Tools with a Human Touch to Elevate Automated Newsletters,” she delved into how Kalee, mCommunity’s first-ever Boolean Competition winner, together with the larger Tripepi Smith team, has mastered the art of crafting invaluable daily digests, combining Meltwater tools and individual attention to deliver relevant and impactful newsletter content.
  • The second post, “The Mayor Said What?! Staying Ahead of the News,” discussed the volatility of public comment and the value of anticipating shifts in public sentiment, as well as the impact a timely response can have on a city’s reputation and its relationship with its residents.
  • Post number three, “‘Fore!’ How Tripepi Smith used Meltwater to Navigate a High-Profile Crisis,” provided a behind-the-scenes look at how Meltwater aided Tripepi Smith’s crisis communications response involving a famous athlete, including how we monitored a breaking news situation, leveraged media intelligence to generate talking points for critical stakeholders and kept our finger on the pulse of the media’s fluctuating coverage.

“I just wanted to say thank you again from the bottom of my heart for your great work this month on your #ExpertsWithInsights blog series,” said Meltwater Community Manager Jacinda Espinosa in an email to Katherine. “I think what you have created here is something truly special, and I hope you are as proud of it as I am!”

“Meltwater is a valuable tool and the designation of ‘Meltwater Expert’ will allow Katherine to share her knowledge of how Tripepi Smith has leveraged Meltwater to provide innovative service to our clients,” said Ryder Todd Smith, president of Tripepi Smith. “We look forward to embracing this platform to widely share about the great work we do with our clients in tracking news and addressing crises in real-time.”
