TWLI high res logoTripepi Smith is excited to support the Texas Women’s Leadership Institute (TWLI) as a Platinum sponsor for 2024.

The TWLI was created by the Texas Chapter of Women Leading Government as a way to empower and prepare more women to hold the esteemed position of city manager. The TWLI is composed of five sessions over the course of ten months, and the Institute is made up of 20 women who aspire to become city managers during their career.

Tripepi Smith will be one of three sponsors of the Institute for 2024. As a Platinum Sponsor, Tripepi Smith will be able to serve as a keynote speaker at one of the Institute’s seminar luncheons during the year. The Institute provides tours of city facilities and brings in experts to speak on topics such as economic development, planning, public works, etc.

“We are excited to call Tripepi Smith a partner in the Texas Women’s Leadership Institute’s mission to empower and prepare more women to become city managers,” said Executive Director Karen Daly. “Tripepi Smith is a known leader in local government communications, as well as a trusted partner to the city management community. TWLI looks forward to incorporating the team’s insights on public speaking and the importance of building that skill for our current and aspiring city manager membership.”

Tripepi Smith Director Jennifer Vaughn, based in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, expressed her enthusiasm: “Supporting this burgeoning organization is an incredible opportunity as Tripepi Smith works so closely with the local government community, and especially city managers. Advancing the city management profession is–and has always been–a part of the firm’s constitution and I’m thrilled that we get to do it in this new capacity with TWLI. It is rewarding to both help women on their journeys to becoming city managers and also expand our support of the profession in my homestate.”

The Texas City Managers Association (TCMA) is another one of the sponsors of the TWLI, showing the support of other city managers in Texas for increasing the number of women in leadership roles.
