Tripepi Smith Facilitates CalChoice All-Member Meeting
In September 2022, California Choice Energy Authority (CalChoice) tapped Tripepi Smith to assist with the planning and execution of its Annual All-Member Meeting, which took place in Lancaster, California, from September 28-30. Tripepi Smith was the natural choice to help with this project, given the firm’s expanding expertise in the community choice aggregation (CCA) sector, as well as its current engagements with CalChoice and several of its associate members.
“Each year, I look forward to the All-Member Meeting, which empowers our eight associate members to gather, collaborate and learn from one another,” said Jason Caudle, CalChoice Executive Director. “Beyond connecting with associate members, it was a great opportunity to get to know the various people who work behind the scenes to make our CCAs run smoothly. Thank you to Tripepi Smith for all of your work making this meeting a success.”
Senior Business Analyst Karen Villasenor and Junior Business Analyst Charlie Mounts led the event preparation. They served as project managers and event coordinators, while Junior Business Analysts Amanda Avery and Sophie Doane assisted with developing promotional materials and design assets. Together, Tripepi Smith delivered on several projects:
- Designed a welcome sign, sponsor support signs, table tents, invitations and a detailed itinerary
- Coordinated networking activities and sponsorship opportunities
- Developed promotional email campaigns about the event
- Tracked meeting attendee RSVPs
- Designed and distributed attendee gifts
- Created post-event surveys and collected responses
Beyond assisting with event logistics, Principal Katherine Griffiths, Karen Villasenor, Senior Business Analyst Sara Madsen and Charlie Mounts attended the in-person meeting. At the event, the team connected with their existing community choice aggregation (CCA) clients and engaged in robust discussion about regulatory affairs affecting CCAs.
“Tripepi Smith is proud to partner with CalChoice and its associate members as we work to develop innovative energy programs across the state,” said Karen. “It was a pleasure to facilitate and attend this important annual meeting, and we look forward to next year’s event!”
