Tripepi Smith Creates a Parks and Recreation Guide for the City of American Canyon
Summer activities are key ways for community members to engage with their city, and that is why the City of American Canyon tapped Tripepi Smith to design a Parks and Recreation Guide for the Summer of 2023.
The City planned events for all ages: youth, adult (18+) and active adults (50+), so it was key that the guide reflected the nostalgia of summer and the excitement of the activities, blended with the professionalism of the city. Tripepi Smith graphic designer Sophie Doane, led by Business Analyst Kalee Cummings, did the heavy lifting to design, add content to and finalize the guide.
Sophie designed 36 pages of summer fun, packing the guide with graphics, timelines, descriptions and more. Activities were accompanied by detailed information and engaging graphic elements that make reading the guide that much more enjoyable.
“The activity guide was so much fun to look at and read through! Tripepi Smith completely understood our vision and delivered at the highest level, once again,” said Jen Kansanback, American Canyon’s Communications Manager. “We are so excited to have shared this project with our residents, and we are pleased to know that Tripepi Smith made our jobs easier by creating this guide. Our residents were able to know what was going on this past summer in our city and also be entertained at the same time!”
Sophie spoke about her work on the project: “It was an honor to create something so useful and enjoyable! The guide reflects the adventurous spirit of American Canyon residents during the summer season.”
