Santa Paula Extends Tripepi Smith Engagement

The City of Santa Paula has extended its engagement with Tripepi Smith through December 2021. The new period will see Tripepi Smith pass the one year mark for assisting the City of Santa Paula with community engagement, press releases and social media management. Tripepi Smith started its engagement in Santa Paul in March 2020.

“Communications are a priority for the City, as we want to be transparent with the public and have particular needs to be communicating during the pandemic. Over the last ten months, we have been providing consistent information to the public via our website and social media channels, and I have received positive feedback from the community about our efforts,” noted Dan Singer, City Manager. “Tripepi Smith has been an excellent partner with the City, and the value of their engagement is clear to our team. As a result, we are extending the arrangement so we can sustain our outreach efforts and meet the needs of our community.”

Tripepi Smith’s scope of work includes two articles a month, a bi-weekly strategic planning call, two social media posts a week, monitoring of the City’s social media channels and a quarterly communications metrics report. The engagement is led by Senior Business Analyst Emily Mason with assistance from Junior Business Analyst Clare Burgess. Principal Ryder Todd Smith joins as needed on strategic matters.

There are several positive trends happening in the city – despite the pandemic – that gives Tripepi Smith plenty of material to work with to share with the public and seek their engagement,” commented Emily. “This past year I was most impressed by the spirit of community volunteerism. Following a posting about a city hall and park clean up day hundreds of people showed up to make an impact, and the story was carried by regional news publications. It was inspiring to see so many community members coming out to clean up their parks and bike paths, paint city hall and refresh the downtown area.”
