TS Wraps Santa Clarita Social Media Audit
This September, Tripepi Smith completed a social media assessment for the City of Santa Clarita, providing staff with extensive insight into the City’s social media accounts. The effort was led by Tripepi Smith Director Jon Barilone with assistance from Junior Business Analyst Karen Villaseñor. The team delivered findings during a Staff Briefing Session with the City’s executive team and key communications staff.

Tripepi Smith’s assessment included qualitative and quantitative research of 33 City-managed social media accounts across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube. The team’s qualitative research focused on account optimization, account verification and fundamentals of posting including use of imagery, hashtags and links. Several metrics were analyzed for the quantitative research portion of the assessment including likes, follows, reach and engagement.
The firm’s final delivery of the assessment included an overview of the City’s most successful social media accounts, social media best practices to follow and specific recommendations for the City to consider.
