The project, completed in seven months delivered a brand new website design with an updated backend built on the WordPress platform. The Tripepi Smith team met with the Rowland Water District staff and outlined a plan which included enhancing the colors and designing toward a simple, user-friendly experience for site visitors.

Development focused on five key phases include: website specification documentation, website design process, programming, content migration, and quality assurance testing/launch. This methodology has supported Tripepi Smith’s completion of over 50 websites for government agencies, private companies and non-profit organizations.

After launching the website, the Tripepi Smith team executed onsite training with District staff. “The Tripepi Smith team has been and continues to be an excellent partner for Rowland Water District. They understand our needs and before building out the website, took time to capture our vision and goals as an organization,” said Tom Coleman, RWD General Manager. “Rowland Water District believes in total transparency with our ratepayers and this site serves that purpose while also offering educational resources and convenient tools to help our residents with water matters.”

The goal of the website was to provide RWD users with a more accessible and user-friendly platform for individuals to be able to learn about RWD efforts in sustainability, conservation, and water supply. There are several new additions to the website including an application to calculate water bill, rates, and fees. The new website is also equipped with SSL certification installation, SEO optimization, custom forms, language translation, social media integration, and more.
