Placer Mosquito & Vector Control District Tapped Tripepi Smith to Redesign its Learning Lab Website
In August 2021, Placer Mosquito & Vector Control District (PMVCD) expanded its contract with Tripepi Smith to include a website redesign for Placer Mosquito & Vector Control District’s Learning Lab – a site focused on educating children about vector risks – with the goal of extending their brand to the education portal. Tripepi Smith previously worked with PMVCD to redesign their current District website.
“The Placer Mosquito and Vector Control District’s outreach goals are rooted in connecting with our community. Providing a comprehensive resource like a learning-focused website is critical to that mission,” said Public Information Officer Meagan Luevano. “Tripepi Smith was a key contributor to ensure our outreach education efforts reach our local students and educators. Their team and expertise far exceeded our expectations. Our project met our goal and beyond that has helped us better serve our community.”
With Senior Business Analyst Melanie James leading the effort, and support from Senior Business Analyst Sara Madsen, and Business Analysts Kalee Cummings and Melanie Moore, the team will continue to provide technical support for Placer Mosquito & Vector Control District website and Learning Lab website.
The Tripepi Smith team updated the design aspects of the Learning Lab website to reflect a more modern and cutting-edge style. In addition, the website followed ADA guidelines to make it more inclusive for all those connected to Placer Mosquito and Vector Control District. The site is built in WordPress, the most common open-source website content management system used on the Internet.
“Placer Mosquito & Vector Control District is committed to providing modern and inclusive educational content for everyone. The stiff is focused on delivering and understanding the lifesaving role their works can play in the community,” said Melanie. “Tripoepi Smith looks forward to helping them achieve their goal and sustain an effective digital presence via these two websites.”
