In late 2023, the City of Pacifica commissioned Tripepi Smith to assist with strategic communications and public outreach for “Vision 2025 & Beyond,” the concluding chapter of the City’s multi-year strategic planning process.

Pacifica launched Vision 2025 & Beyond in 2019 to analyze the City’s financial future and explore its capacity to fund future priority projects and services. This comprehensive effort spotlighted a myriad of infrastructure projects and enhanced programs and services to safeguard Pacifica’s coastline, build infrastructure resilience, foster community culture and stimulate local economic development.

Tripepi Smith supported the City by developing a dedicated Vision 2025 & Beyond webpage, crafting social media content, drafting press releases and op-ed articles, designing an infographic and producing an informative animated video. Together, the team provided comprehensive support to Pacifica on this intricate and important strategic planning effort.

“The Vision 2025 & Beyond initiative marked a pivotal achievement for the City of Pacifica, and we wanted to ensure that its story and impact was effectively shared with our community and beyond,” said Pacifica City Manager Kevin Woodhouse. “Collaborating with the Tripepi Smith team gave us the tools to craft clear, meaningful messages to Pacifica residents and stakeholders, empowering them to help shape the future of our City and drive our momentum forward.”

Tripepi Smith’s project team consisted of Principal Jon Barilone, Senior Business Analyst Sydni Overly, Business Analysts Melanie Moore and Peter Johnson and Junior Business Analyst Mia Valenzuela. The team closely collaborated with the City to communicate information regarding the Vision 2025 & Beyond initiative, highlighting its influence on the City’s adopted 2023-2030 Strategic Plan as well as addressing current infrastructure projects and needs.

“Throughout this process, our aim was to help the City communicate the value and significance of Vision 2025 & Beyond to residents in a digestible, accessible way,” shared Peter Johnson. “We were privileged to share information about critical topics for the community, particularly about coastal issues and the future of coastal planning. Pacifica is deploying innovative solutions to some of the most vexing challenges of our time, and we thank the City for the opportunity to help tell that story to residents and the greater local government community.”
