Claremont Launches New Website with Tripepi Smith’s Support

The City of Claremont has gone live with a new Vision Internet website that greatly enhances their web presence, offers new tools for public engagement, and provides easy access to City information. In the run-up to the launch, Claremont Public Information Officer Bevin Handel engaged Tripepi Smith to provide a third-party set of eyes to copyedit the website’s content and identify any other issues that could affect a user’s experience.

Given the tight timeline for launch, the Tripepi Smith team put in extra effort to deliver this project ahead of schedule and under budget. “It was no small task to review over 400 pages of website content prior to our launch date, so we needed a partner who already had a strong familiarity with the City but had a fresh set of eyes,” said Handel. “Tripepi Smith’s attention to detail and comfort with the Vision Internet platform helped us produce a more polished final product that our community is sure to love. Our new website makes it easier for residents to learn about the numerous resources and services Claremont has to offer, and also enhances our City’s transparency efforts.”

“I was really excited for the opportunity to take on this project for a few reasons,” said Jon Barilone, Senior Business Analyst at Tripepi Smith. “First, because the City of Claremont has been so great to Tripepi Smith — nearly half the team graduated from Claremont McKenna College, making the project a homecoming of sorts. Copyediting is a personal passion, so the project was right up my alley. Last but not least, our work with public agencies that use the Vision Internet platform has made us experts on the system, so we are always up to speed on any Vision Internet website.”

“Our work in Claremont is a great example of how combining experience with marketing, technology and public affairs uniquely positions Tripepi Smith in the local government space. City website development, project management and ongoing maintenance are all core skills of the team at Tripepi Smith,” said Ryder Todd Smith, President at Tripepi Smith. “Claremont put a lot of thought into their new site, and Bevin did a great job managing the project through to the end. I am glad we had a chance to be a part of Claremont’s success.”

Following the launch of the website, Tripepi Smith will be working with the City to assist with other strategies for maintaining the website’s content and providing additional testing of the platform’s features and functions.
