The California Joint Powers Insurance Authority Chooses Tripepi Smith
The California Joint Powers Insurance Authority (Authority) has selected Tripepi Smith to provide a variety of communication, business development and advisory services to the joint powers authority. The Authority is the leading risk pool agency in California with innovative training programs, a well-regarded conference series and nearly 120 member agencies. Risk management costs have become a growing cost-center for public agencies in California, and the Authority has been evolving services and training programs to meet their member needs.
Led by Director of Operations Katherine Griffiths, with aid from Graphic Designer Kjerstin Nichter and Business Analysts Saara Lampwalla and Skylar Hunter, the engagement calls on Team Tripepi Smith for visioning and execution of content creation, social media co-management, newsletter distribution, photography, videography, graphic design and content calendar planning for the Authority.
Additionally, Tripepi Smith President Ryder Todd Smith and Director Mike Egan play a large role on the account, advising Authority leadership on business development prospects, relations and strategies.
“Our 117 member agencies rely on the Authority for top-notch risk management programs and services. We take this responsibility seriously, which is why we asked Tripepi Smith to support and strengthen our team’s efforts,” said Authority Chief Executive Officer Jon Shull. “The Authority is a member-driven organization–our focus lies in nourishing our members’ understanding of risk management best practices and listening to their evolving needs. This can only be achieved through consistent, continuous education. As a recognized leader in local government for outreach and communications, Tripepi Smith has become a true partner to the Authority in this pursuit.”
The partnership took off after the Authority enlisted Tripepi Smith to create its 40th Anniversary Book, which honors the organization’s long-standing commitment to protecting its member agencies, their employees and the communities they serve.
“I had long admired the work of the Authority and respect the leadership team and elected board that drives their success. When Jon and I started talking about how we could work together, I viewed it as a true milestone in the progress of Tripepi Smith that we had such a marque client calling on us for aid,” said Ryder. “The Authority team is focused, thoughtful and approaches every decision with a focus on how it benefits its member agencies. Our team loves the work and is honored to call the Authority a client.”
