City of Carson Taps Tripepi Smith for Measure R Outreach
The City of Carson tapped Tripepi Smith to assist with outreach and education regarding the continuation of Measure R: a pre-existing 2% Utilities User Tax (UUT) in the city. Carson voters overwhelmingly voted to uphold Measure R (78.44% Yes), maintaining the tax with no changes to its current rate. The tax generates approximately $8 million annually to assist the city government in providing much-needed community services.
Tripepi Smith has previously assisted in voter outreach and education for several ballot measures for California cities. This translated into the quick execution of a strategy to inform residents about the measure.
