California Urban Forests Council logoThe California Urban Forests Council (CaUFC) selected Tripepi Smith to provide strategic communications and public relations services in preparation for a special event, AMPlifying the Urban Forest, which will be presented in partnership with West Coast Arborists and Taylor Guitars. On March 12, 2022, the urban tree-planting event will span 30 municipal agencies throughout California and empower communities that lack tree canopy coverage to celebrate Arbor Day and to learn how trees contribute to community wellness.

Deliverables for this engagement include: an editorial calendar, graphic design support, social media management, article production, email marketing, video news releases and standardized press releases for participating municipal agencies. Outreach efforts are already underway and will continue on a monthly basis through March.

“Tripepi Smith has already proven to be a powerful asset in the world of communications and government,” said CaUFC Executive Director Nancy J. Hughes. “We’re confident the Tripepi Smith team will help us make AMPlifying the Urban Forest an impactful event for all.”

The Tripepi Smith team–consisting of Director Katherine Griffiths, Business Analyst Sara Madsen and Junior Business Analyst Claire Torza–will bring a diverse mix of skill and talent to the table to implement a comprehensive, strategic and proactive communications program that will support CaUFC’S brand, projects and outreach efforts.

“It is rewarding to build on our existing relationship with West Coast Arborists and to work with a nonprofit like the California Urban Forests Council,” noted Katherine. “AMPlifying the Urban Forest exemplifies a sustainable, circular economic model that supports all aspects of a tree’s life cycle, from planting to cultivating to repurposing, i.e. seed to shade to song.”
