Juan Gomez Joins American Canyon as Finance Director
The City of American Canyon welcomed Juan Gomez as their new Finance Director on January 9, 2023.
Juan comes to the City from West County Wastewater where he served as Finance Manager. Juan also brings prior experience working for the City of Fairfield, the City of Pleasanton, and the Contra Costa Water District. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from California State University East Bay and brings over 15 years of government experience to the City, with demonstrated knowledge in finance, general accounting, accounts payable, budgeting, financial reporting and financial analysis.
As the City’s Finance Director, Juan will serve as a member of the City’s management team where he will lead all activities and operations of the Finance department, including managing goals and policies, employee development, budget development and more.

The City of American Canyon enlisted TS Talent Solutions (TSTS) to build out a candidate profile, design a captivating recruitment brochure and conduct outreach to prospective candidates.
