City of Lancaster Wins EPIC Award at CAPIO Annual Conference
The 2022 California Association of Public Information Officials (CAPIO) “All Hands Meet” Conference took place from August 29 to September 1 in San Diego. In addition to being a valuable space for learning and connecting with others, the Annual CAPIO Conference is an opportunity for recognizing outstanding work in public communications. This year, the City of Lancaster was presented with the CAPIO EPIC (Excellence in Public Information and Communications) Award for the impact of its See and Be Seen campaign.
“This is an important success for our communications team, but more importantly for our community members who are increasingly enjoying safe, active transportation around Lancaster thanks to this campaign,” said Mayor R. Rex Parris.
As a longtime partner of the City of Lancaster and collaborator on the See and Be Seen campaign, Tripepi Smith celebrates this success! The Tripepi Smith team has provided the City of Lancaster with strategic communications support since 2019 and has assisted with a wide variety of communications initiatives throughout this time.
The See and Be Seen campaign is aimed at informing the public on the importance of safety measures around different forms of transportation, with the ultimate goal of changing behavior and reducing transportation-related accidents and fatalities. The campaign has gained recognition beyond the CAPIO EPIC Award and continues to exemplify successful communications.
As a part of this effort, Tripepi Smith plans and develops social media content, manages website content, and creates other written and graphic assets. Tripepi Smith also provides general communications support outside of the See and Be Seen campaign for the City of Lancaster.
“Tripepi Smith is happy for the City of Lancaster and their success with the See and Be Seen campaign,” said Principal Jen Nentwig. “We look forward to continued collaboration with the City of Lancaster, on the See and Be Seen campaign and beyond.”
