The Association for California Cities, Orange County is a relatively new non-profit organization focused on bringing new policy ideas to light for local government in California. As ACCOC matured in its first couple years, it outgrew its initial website, and its CEO sought out a partner to help take their web presence to the next level. Enter Tripepi Smith.

ACCOC engaged Tripepi Smith to scope, design and build a new website for the association. The results have now gone live at www.accoc.org.

Lacy Kelly, CEO of ACCOC offered her views on the development process and the results, “The website that Tripepi Smith has built for ACC-OC vastly improves our web presence, is more user friendly, and greatly leverages social media,” said Kelly. “Tripepi Smith is a true partner to local government, and I appreciate their work with ACCOC to share the value of ‘ground-up’ public policy, to make educational tools available, and to highlight the truly exemplary work of our local policy leaders.”

Tripepi Smith worked with Steve Greyshock of 21Strat, a consulting firm engaged with ACCOC. 21Strat helped craft the messaging and features needed by ACCOC and worked directly with Tripepi Smith throughout the project.

“The team at Tripepi Smith is easy to work with and  incredibly responsive,” said Greyshock. “The site they developed for our client, the ACC-OC, was more than just a great looking site. It integrated the features that the organization’s members wanted, including social media, rich video content and dynamic public policy resources.  The site is a tremendously valuable asset in fulfilling the ACC-OC mission.”

In return for its work on the website, Tripepi Smith was made an Affiliate Member of ACCOC. Ryder Todd Smith, president of Tripepi Smith commented on the value of partnership with ACCOC. “Working with ACCOC to stay connected to the pulse of local government in Orange County is important,” said Smith. “A number of cities are members of ACCOC, and the council members I have met through ACCOC are focused on policy ideas and ways to cost-effectively improve their communities. It is a great group.”

Tripepi Smith has built up a strong reputation for matching its technical skills with its local government acumen, resulting in holistic messaging and technology solutions that work well in policy environments. Past successful website launches for local government focused clients include: Civic Business Journal, California Utility Executive Management Association, Independent Cities Finance Authority, and the California City Management Foundation.
