Tripepi Smith Assists in Producing Podcast For Town of Yucca Valley

In January 2022, The Town of Yucca Valley engaged Tripepi Smith to assist in creating a new, bi-weekly podcast hosted by Mayor Jim Schooler called, “Yucca Valley: Plugged In.” The podcast covers new commercial projects, upcoming council agendas, events and other relevant Town topics. Each 20-minute episode features a special guest to expand on subjects of interest to the Yucca Valley community.

“With a background in radio and communications, it’s important to me to think outside the box when it comes to the ways we communicate with Yucca Valley residents. I wanted to start this podcast to increase transparency about ongoing developments within the community,” said Mayor Schooler. “Tripepi Smith was very helpful with turning my idea into a reality and I look forward to working with their dynamic team to continue creating new episodes to keep residents engaged.”

Director Cameron Grimm led the project and wrote and obtained voiceover for the intro and outro segments of the podcast. Junior Business Analyst Nolan Voge handled the technical side of production, including editing the podcast after it was recorded. Junior Business Analyst Skyler Addison took the lead on developing marketing materials, while Junior Business Analyst Alex Applegate focused on distribution. The podcast is available on several platforms including PodBean, Spotify, Amazon Music, iHeart Radio and PlayerFM.

“I admire Mayor Jim Schooler and Yucca Valley’s Town staff for their forward-thinking approach to modern communications,” said Cameron. “This was Tripepi Smith’s first time creating a podcast for a client, and given the success of the project, I expect that other cities will be interested in adopting the podcast medium to deliver critical information to community members.”
