"Our WCMA-ICMA Regional Conference Team" with headshots of Ryder Todd Smith and Saara LampwallaTripepi Smith is headed back to Washington to attend the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) and Washington City/County Management Association (WCMA) West Coast Regional Conference in Stevenson, WA from March 15-18, 2022.

Tripepi Smith is supporting the event as a sponsor of the President’s Reception hosted Thursday evening. President Ryder Todd Smith and Senior Business Analyst Saara Lampwalla will be in attendance at the conference and at the Tripepi Smith booth.

“Our west coast client base is constantly growing, and it’s vital that the Tripepi Smith team be knowledgeable of the challenges and realities affecting them and their communities. Participating in this conference and our partnerships with ICMA and WCMA give us the opportunity to learn about these matters firsthand,” said Saara.

Ryder will also be sharing his insights and experiences helping public agencies address misinformation in “Countering Social Media Misinformation” on March 17 at 9 AM. He will be discussing how a message can be misconstrued and how to navigate these sorts of situations.

“Social media has become more powerful than ever after the COVID-19 pandemic, and local government agencies have been placed under a magnifying glass because of it. With more communication done online, the risk of misinformation spreading has increased, and attendees of the session will leave with a sense of how to prevent and address these issues,” said Ryder.

With a focus on enhancing attendees’ ability to recover and thrive through the region’s challenges, the conference is themed “Build Your Resilience: Creating balance in the personal and professional”. Learn more about the event here.
