Regional Government Services (RGS), a California joint power authority, has launched a brand new web presence and related logo change that modernizes their public face. RGS helps local governments meet three specific challenges: revenues not keeping pace with increasing demands (and costs) for services, loss of experienced staff, and the resulting need to share talents and resources with other public agencies. The new sites for RGS (rgsjpa.org) and two other JPAs it works closely with – Local Government Services (LGS) (lgsjpa.org) and Municipal Services Authority (MSA) (msajpa.org) – are now live and hosted on Tripepi Smith’s optimized and finely-tuned webhosting solution. The three sites are interconnected by design and coloring, yet offer distinct content and information that is directly related to each individual entity’s programs and solutions.

Screen Shot 2015-07-01 at 2.48.54 PM“We worked with other website consultants, but were overwhelmed by how much of the process fell to us. Having worked with Tripepi Smith on a website for our pooled 457(b) and 401(a) retirement plan services, I knew they could succeed as our partner. From kicking off ideas, to designs, through populating content and testing, Tripepi Smith demonstrated a familiarity with public agencies and web technologies that made the project so much easier,” said Richard Averett, Executive Director of RGS.

The work at RGS continues a string of Tripepi Smith website delivery successes for entities serving public agencies in California. Examples of other clients include: California City Management Foundation, California Contract Cities Association, the Independent Cities Finance Authority JPA, the Big Independent Cities Excess Pool JPA, and the California Utility Executive Management Association.

“Websites are not a simple effort. They combine marketing with technology and brand. The team at RGS had already been through a frustrating process with website development and knew the challenges. Tripepi Smith provided a clear pathway toward execution and completion of this project,” stated Ryder Todd Smith, president of Tripepi Smith. “The RGS team was very professional and easy to work with, and our collaboration made the project a success, resulting in three websites that accurately convey the benefits of RGS, LGS and MSA to their public agency clients.”

The new sites unify the visuals for the three distinct entities while allowing each to speak to their separate missions and audiences. Additionally, the sites are user friendly, easier to maintain with non-technical staff and are a responsive mobile design. All three sites are built on the WordPress content management system, the most commonly used content manage system on the planet.

Additional new features of the website include:

  • Easy back-end management system
  • Integrated Google Analytics and basic SEO tools
  • Clear design with easy access to all information
  • Improved visuals
  • Enhanced security and rendering performance
