TSA Completes Communications Assessment for Culver City
On November 15, 2016, Tripepi Smith delivered its final report and recommendations for communications and public engagement for Culver City. The presentation to City management and Council members marked the culmination of several months of work to help the City better understand and improve its outreach to residents of the City.
The Communications Assessment engagement began with a multi-day onsite visit in Culver City, as Tripepi Smith interviewed 39 people, including Council members, City Staff, residents and key community partners. The 98-page Communications Assessment report detailed the communication activities of City departments and sister agencies, analyzed the City’s digital communication platforms, and outlined action steps the City could take to improve the efficacy of its external communications. Tripepi Smith’s scope also included a lightweight “media audit” to determine which local, regional and national publications and press outlets covered stories within the City, and what the topics of those stories were.
