Tripepi Smith Continues Cal-ICMA Partnership
Tripepi Smith is pleased to announce its Corporate Partnership renewal with California International City/County Management Association (Cal-ICMA) at the Silver Level for the 2025-2026 year. The sponsorship further extends Tripepi Smith’s support for the city management community in California.
“Cal-ICMA plays a crucial role in supporting California’s city management community, offering valuable resources, professional development, and a strong network for local government leaders,” said Tripepi Smith President Ryder Todd Smith. “We are proud to support their mission of driving innovation in local government management and supporting best practices development and adoption. Great city managers make for great communities.”
Recently, Ryder interviewed Cal-ICMA President Dr. Peter Pirnejad, ICMA-CM, on the PublicCEO Report podcast, where they spoke about Peter’s initiatives for the organization, as well as his successful completion of the ICMA Credentialed Manager Certification.
Cal-ICMA is the California chapter of the International City/County Management Association and leads a collaborative effort of several other local government-focused affiliate organizations that aim to create a space for networking, development and training. The chapter seeks to connect members throughout the state to instill ethical management practices within the local government profession.
“We are thrilled to welcome Tripepi Smith back for a second year as a Partner. Tripepi Smith’s contributions to the local government community are extensive and they have a rock solid reputation as a partner to the city manager community,” said Cal-ICMA President Peter Pirnejad. “Cal-ICMA is working on behalf of hundreds of city managers and future city managers to advance the profession and support resources that help better deliver for our communities and councils.”
About Cal-ICMA
Cal-ICMA is a collaborative which maintains a strong relationship between ICMA and its members in California which include cities, counties, and special districts. They create a broad base partnership between all local government management professionals in the state, particularly in the areas of professional networking, development, and training to support ethical management in local government. Cal-ICMA is the official state affiliate with ICMA members in California. Founded in 2005, the California state affiliation with ICMA is unique so as not to create another “organization” with a separate dues structure. Cal-ICMA is a collaboration of the Cal Cities City Managers Department (CMD), California City Management Foundation (CCMF), Municipal Management Association of Northern California (MMANC), and Municipal Management Association of Southern California (MMASC). Cal-ICMA also includes a number of affiliate organizations: California Association of County Executives (CACE), CivicPRIDE, International Network of Asian Pacific Islander Public Administrators (I-NAPA), Local Government Hispanic Network (LGHN), National Forum for Black Public Administrators (NFBPA), and Women Leading Government (WLG); along with members of the academic community and from all of the other ICMA membership categories.
