This marks the third guide produced by Tripepi Smith as part of the City’s initiative to introduce seasonal activity guides, following the successful launch of the Summer 2023 and subsequent Summer 2024 guides.

“We’re so proud of how our Activity Guides reflect the personality of American Canyon and our recreation programming, while serving as a guaranteed method to keep our residents in the know,” said American Canyon Communications Manager Jen Kansanback. “Tripepi Smith consistently brings our vision for this guide to life, exceeding expectations and successfully bringing our community together.”

The 28-page Fall 2024 Activity Guide highlights the variety of Parks and Recreation programs and activities offered to American Canyon community members of all ages and spotlights upcoming community events, volunteer opportunities and facility rentals.

Tripepi Smith’s design team adapted the guide’s visuals to reflect the fall season while ensuring consistency with the fun and adventurous branding introduced in the summer editions. Senior Business Analyst Kalee Cummings led the project, with Senior Graphic Designer Kjerstin Wingert managing the CivicRec data preparation and importing and Junior Graphic Designer Alexis Mendez focusing on custom art and design updates.

Beyond aesthetics, the guide continues to serve as a crucial communication tool, mailed directly to all households in American Canyon. It’s also posted online in an accessible PDF format, where residents can easily search and click through to programs that interest them.

“We are grateful for the continued opportunity to create a fun, engaging and informative way for American Canyon residents to connect with the City’s recreation offerings,” said Kalee. “I’m excited about how this project allows us to showcase the wonderful experiences available to the American Canyon community in a way that inspires residents to get involved.”

With the success of the Summer 2023 guide, which garnered both CAPIO and 3CMA Savvy awards for its design, American Canyon continues to build on that momentum, delivering useful, easy-to-navigate resources that make residents feel more connected to local offerings.
