Tripepi Smith Helps Elevate Atkore Calpipe Security

  |   News   |   No comment

Tripepi Smith was selected to help elevate the voice of Atkore Calpipe Security, within the sphere of local government. Atkore Calpipe Security specializes in manufacturing safety bollards and related pedestrian safety products that help secure areas at the interface between pedestrians and moving vehicles.

The engagement includes writing news articles and advertisements on the PublicCEO platform (PCEO) and business development support. The goal of the engagement is to raise the general awareness of local government officials – both elected and agency staff – about the risks to the public and the solutions that are available. The work has taken on particular importance during the pandemic as outdoor dining in parking lots and along streets has exploded in popularity.

Tripepi Smith is executing the work in partnership with Victor Manalo, a former councilman from Artesia and professor at California State University, Los Angeles. Victor suffered from a family loss related to a vehicle that struck and killed a family member where a Calpipe safety bollard could have made the difference between life and death.

“This is not just another municipal issue for me. It is personal. I know the consequences of not implementing simple solutions to protect people in common everyday public areas like parking lots,” observed Victor. “The answers are right in front of us – and I am working to ensure they are clear to the entire local government sector.”

“Atkore Calpipe has always placed an emphasis on providing safety for public spaces. With dining and community events shifting to outdoor spaces, it is crucial for cities to evolve their viewpoints on how to protect the public in this new era,” said Greg Davidson, Atkore Calpipe’s director of sales. “With their extensive relationships and platforms, Tripepi Smith provides a pathway for Calpipe to provide our insight to local government agencies we otherwise would not have been able to reach.”

Working alongside Victor Manalo, Tripepi Smith President Ryder Todd Smith and Junior Business Analyst Allison Torres are engaged on this project. The duo also taps other members of team Tripepi Smith, such as Senior Business Analyst Bria Balliet for the creation of the PCEO advertisement, and Junior Business Analysts Alexandra Applegate and Ethan Kielty for article publication.

“Tripepi Smith is honored to extend our resources to Atkore Calpipe Security,” said Ryder. “Being able to amplify the voice of Atkore Calpipe allows us to provide more options for cities to increase public safety and will help save lives. This is a win-win scenario.”
