On March 3, 2018, Culver City’s public transit agency celebrated 90 years of service. In anticipation of the milestone, Culver CityBus engaged Tripepi Smith to produce two videos to share the history of the past nine decades of CityBus vehicles and service, and an additional highlight video from the CityBus 90th Anniversary Celebration Event.

The first video showed a visual history of the evolution of the Culver CityBus fleet, service area and vehicle technology:

Through a series of interviews, the second video told the story of how Culver CityBus has grown from 12 riders to serving over 5 million riders annually throughout the Los Angeles area:

For the final video, Tripepi Smith staff were on-hand to commemorate CityBus’s 90th anniversary and capture highlights from the celebration event on March 3 at the Transportation Department’s headquarters:

“Culver CityBus has a rich and impressive history serving not just City residents but a large portion of the Los Angeles metro area. Their signature green buses and their bus operators are well-known and well-loved for good reason,” said Tripepi Smith Director Jon Barilone. “We have thoroughly enjoyed expanding our professional relationship with the City of Culver City over the past year-plus, and we are grateful to Art Ida and Dia Turner for relying on our video team to help CityBus tell its great story in anticipation of a historic milestone.”

All three videos are available on Culver City’s YouTube Channel within the Culver CityBus Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLtSHsu4for-Npppikh8O6NP2qb2ZIaLzJ.
