Tripepi Smith Advises City on Technology RFP
The City of Placentia engaged Tripepi Smith to aid with selection of an information technology services provider. Tripepi Smith provides guidance to staff through RFP drafting, evaluation and selection presentation process. The Council voted 4 -1 to select staff recommended vendor Synoptek. The negotiated hourly blended rate for all technology services (except CIO services) is $75 per hour.
“Outsourcing IT can make a lot of sense for organizations, particularly when they have fewer than a couple hundred employees. The problem is the organizations loses all their in-house IT skills, making it difficult to evaluate technology options when at the mercy of your current provider,” said Ryder Todd Smith, president of Tripepi Smith. “It was clear the City staff and council were pursuing the best possible deal for the City while not losing quality. A number of qualified firms bid, and ultimately, the Council made an informed selection.”
