Tripepi Smith Acquires PublicCEO.com

Tripepi Smith has acquired local government news site PublicCEO.com and its accompanying daily newsletter. The move will further solidify the firm’s reach into local government and expand its capacity to drive knowledge sharing within the local government sector.

PublicCEO provides a statewide perspective on California cities, counties and special districts for the thousands of city managers, county administrators, public executives, elected officials and public employees that serve communities across California. The website consolidates local government news in California to provide a single stop for people to stay abreast of the issues and challenges facing government in California. It also offers a job board for recruiting new talent. The news featured on PublicCEO is shared via a daily email to approximately 9,500 subscribers driving significant website visits every day.

All of these features made the acquisition an easy decision for Tripepi Smith co-founders Nicole and Ryder Smith.

“Tripepi Smith has previously advertised on PublicCEO because of the robust traffic it receives every day from local government leaders and potential clients,” said Nicole. “When the former owner expressed a desire to sell PublicCEO, I knew we couldn’t pass up this opportunity. Through our acquisition of PublicCEO, Tripepi Smith has broadened our ability to bring public affairs expertise and insight straight to our clients and others in the local government space.”

Since gaining control of PublicCEO, Tripepi Smith has redesigned the newsletter to give readers more visuals and a mobile responsive design. The firm will soon redesign the PublicCEO website to better reflect its updated branding and give its readers a smoother online experience.

Public agencies who have notable stories or press releases can share them with PublicCEO for possible publication on its website and on its daily newsletter. Send any press releases or news to Daily@PublicCEO.com.

Tripepi Smith also owns Civic Business Journal, another prominent publication for those in local government.
