TracyThe City of Tracy tapped Tripepi Smith to produce the City’s virtual State of the City address in April 2021. Tripepi Smith has provided ongoing support to the City with economic development advertising campaigns, graphic design, website technical assistance, social media management and general communications advice since 2017. The theme of the State of the City was “Team Tracy” and the video provided an opportunity for government officials to update residents about recent developments in the City and strategic goals for the coming year. The City also debuted the Team Tracy logo and initiative in the address. The address covered Tracy’s current strategic priorities: public safety, economic development, quality of life and governance.

“The pandemic has presented various challenges to our City and its residents, but we have remained strong and are working together to address important issues in our community,” said Mayor Nancy Young. “Providing these updates to our community is essential along with the health and safety of our residents. Therefore, it was only right to move forward with a virtual State of the City Address. Tripepi Smith’s experienced team helped us develop an engaging video about our Team Tracy goals and accomplishments, and our vision for the future.”

Senior Business Analyst Melanie James coordinated video logistics and provided graphic design services as the lead on the project. Business Analyst and Videographer Skylar Hunter supported the effort by filming the interviews with City Council Members, capturing b-roll footage in various locations around the City and curating a 20-minute State of the City video. The City premiered the video on their YouTube and Facebook pages, their cable television channel and their website.

“Our team is honored to have helped the City of Tracy produce its virtual State of the City,” said Skylar. “The City was highly professional and the work was committed to engaging the public and being transparent about City initiatives.”
