TS Delivers Style Guide for Tracy

TracyTripepi Smith recently delivered a style guide to the City of Tracy that will standardize and refine the City’s communications.

“When we asked Tripepi Smith to create our style guide, we knew we were in good hands,”  said Vanessa Carrera, Economic Development Management Analyst for the City of Tracy. “The firm delivered yet another quality piece of work for us that will improve our messaging and enhance the economic development strategy that Tripepi Smith helped us develop.”

Business Analyst and Graphic Designer Melanie James led the effort to create the refreshed style guide during the spring and summer of 2019. The guide provides standards for typefaces and fonts, color usage, alignment and format. Tripepi Smith also delivered branded templates for the following: PowerPoint presentation, letterhead, department-specific logos, program covers and a certificate.

To ensure city staff understood how to apply the guide, Tripepi Smith held an in-person training for Tracy staff in May. Melanie emphasized the importance of branding for city government staff and explained the logistics for application in different departments.

“We’re excited to add this style guide to the repertoire of support we offer to the City of Tracy,” said Tripepi Smith President Ryder Todd Smith. “Building this style guide consolidates the efforts the City and Tripepi Smith have already made to continue telling the City’s story. I’m looking forward to watching Tracy’s marketing develop and improve as the City integrates these brand guidelines.”
