City of Tracy Budget Officer Placed with TS Talent Solutions’ Help
Tripepi Smith Talent Solutions (TSTS) congratulates the City of Tracy on the successful recruitment of newly minted Budget Officer, Felicia Galindo. Tracy, who has engaged Tripepi Smith’s marketing arm since 2017, selected TSTS to conduct its search for a Budget Officer earlier this year.
“We were ready for a challenge,” says TSTS lead recruiter Bob Hall. “Mid-level finance positions are notoriously difficult to fill in today’s market, but we were confident that we would be able to help the City identify the perfect candidate.”
Prior to launching the search, Bob and Tripepi Smith Senior Business Analyst Bria Balliet met with City staff to dive deeper into the responsibilities of the role and identify the key traits the City was hoping to find in a candidate. Bria then used that information to fine-tune the opportunity language and create a custom recruitment brochure that was shared on job boards across the state.
“The design and content of the brochure can really make an impact on potential candidates,” says Bria. “Having a premier piece that clearly describes the position and engages job seekers is key in helping them picture themselves in the role. It also adds to the polished, professional and modern look of the City, making it all the more desirable as a workplace.”
The Budget Officer position went live in early March. Following five weeks of active recruitment and another three rounds of interviews, Felicia started her new role in June.
“Felicia has a diverse background in finance and accounting, and has made a concentrated effort to both refine her skills in her previous position with the City while consistently striving to learn new ones,” says Bob. “She really had an ideal background, and combined with her enthusiasm about working for the City of Tracy, she was the perfect fit for the new role. We’re thrilled for both her and the City.”
