TS Delivers Videos Highlighting Tasty Water in Santa Ana
In 2018, the City of Santa Ana won Best Tasting Municipal Water in the USA for the Berkeley Spring International Water Competition for the second time in the last four years. To help get the word out, Tripepi Smith Director Jon Barilone and Business Analyst Bria Balliet delivered three videos about the City’s award-winning water.
The first video highlights Santa Ana’s process for maintaining high-quality water as well as the impact of water quality on the City and its community. Interviewees included Santa Ana Water production operators, a zoo educator and public works water manager along with the contest Water Quality Inspector. The video was published in English and Spanish, advertised on Facebook, and exceeded the City’s goal of getting 100,000 combined views.
“There are a lot of great ingredients that have made Santa Ana a foodie destination and an epicenter for food and beverage entrepreneurs. Our urban vibe, dense population and growing reputation have made Santa Ana a hub for destination dining. Many of the food and drink items consumed in Santa Ana benefit from our award-winning water,” said Assistant to the City Manager Jorge Garcia. “We want residents and businesses to be aware of the great water quality that underlies their daily lives, and Tripepi Smith helped us do that with two videos that make these critical points. Their production process and the results were outstanding, and with their social media support, each video reached over 80,000 people.”
The third video takes a different angle on the City’s water by focusing on the economic development aspect of the City’s water impact. Restaurant Chapter One, brewery The Good Beer Company and distillery Blinking Owl were the featured businesses that discussed how the quality of water in the city benefits their businesses in a multitude of ways. This video was published in English and has reached over 41,000 people so far.
