- YouTube is introducing “Premium Lite,” a more affordable subscription that offers ad-free video viewing, providing a budget-friendly alternative to its full “Premium” plan. The plan is offered at $7.99 per month.
- After testing facial recognition for account recovery last year, Meta is now expanding the feature to high-profile users in select regions to help detect scams and speed up account recovery. The platform first explored this in 2021 and is now reintroducing it.
- Google is rolling out “AI Mode” for initial public testing, allowing users to ask questions, submit follow-ups and interact within a continuous AI stream. According to Google, this feature runs on a customized version of Gemini 2.0, designed to handle more complex inquiries.
- LinkedIn is testing a feed that exclusively features updates from users’ first-degree connections. The platform hopes this update will foster more meaningful engagement within the app.
- LinkedIn is also introducing a new feature that tracks impressions on comments. This update, gradually rolling out, will offer more insight into the reach of your activity within the app.
