Tripepi Smith’s Always-Be-Learning (#ABL) culture drives us to stay up to speed on constantly changing social media platforms. This knowledge empowers our team to track, interpret and adapt to the latest and greatest social media trends on behalf of the public agencies we serve. The following is the latest installment of our regular roundup of social media news you need to know:
- X is introducing new labels for parody and fan accounts to help clarify account purposes and prevent the spread of misinformation. These accounts will now showcase a “Parody Account” label on their profiles underneath their usernames.
- X has also made its Grok AI chatbot available to all users. Previously available to only X Premium subscribers, this feature allows users to ask questions, generate images and get summaries of posts.
- Also on the AI front is the launch of Meta’s Llama 3.3 AI Model, created to support researchers in advancing their work within the large language AI subfield. This new model will open doors for future AI applications on Meta platforms.
- Threads is testing analytics for individual posts, giving users more insight into content performance. You can sort posts by highest or lowest number of likes and replies, and even see a breakdown of views and interactions.
- LinkedIn’s Premium Business Subscribers can now use a revolving slideshow as their profile banner. Users can simply select “Create Slideshow” to generate a moving group of photos in place of a static image.
