President Ryder Smith to Speak at the CaUFC Annual Conference
Tripepi Smith President Ryder Todd Smith will be in Rancho Mirage to speak at the 2022 California Urban Forests Council (CaUFC) Annual Conference on Thursday, September 29.
From 2 PM to 3 PM, Ryder will present his session, “Telling a Tall Tale About Trees”, where he will inform attendees on the methods and importance of public engagement, strategies to elevate communications and the best tools to use. He will also review a case study from Tripepi Smith’s partnership with CaUFC for their ‘AMPlifying the Urban Forest’ event.
“Having the ability to engage with your community, keep them informed and garner trust and participation is paramount for public agencies. Doing that while also helping to enhance an urban forest is even better,” Ryder commented. “Tripepi Smith was honored to be of assistance in the ‘AMPlifying the Urban Forest’ event, and it proved to be an excellent example of public engagement. Every attendee can take away best practices from CaUFC’s innovative work.”
The California Urban Forests Council, West Coast Arborists and Taylor Guitars hosted ‘AMPlifying the Urban Forest’ with the help of Tripepi Smith. Thirty municipal agencies engaged their communities using various communication strategies, and X of trees were planted.
The CaUFC Annual Conference will bring municipal arborists, urban forest managers, urban wood enthusiasts, landscape design professionals, planners and non-profits together to discuss our urban forests and their challenges. Learn more about the conference here.
