Pacifica Vision 2025 graphicOn April 11, 2024 the City of Pacifica received the California Association for Local Development (CALED) Award of Excellence for their ‘Vision 2025 & Beyond’ initiative, a strategic planning outline that analyzes the City’s financial future and explores its capacity to fund future priority projects and services.

Founded in 1980, CALED pioneered the instruction of economic developers, government officials and representatives of the importance of economic development. Each year, the CALED Awards gives members and non-members the opportunity to highlight achievements from the past year and celebrate their success stories. Specifically, the CALED Award of Excellence showcases a City’s notable economic development program implemented the previous year.

In 2019, the City of Pacifica launched the ‘Vision 2025 & Beyond’ strategic plan, which highlights various infrastructure projects, enrichment programs and services that support Pacifica’s future economic growth and community development.

In late 2023, the City of Pacifica called on Tripepi Smith to facilitate strategic communications and public outreach efforts for the initiative, which included social media content and strategy, press releases and op-ed articles, digital ad campaigns, infographic, informational mailer, animated video and the Vision 2025 & Beyond webpage.

The project received invaluable support and deep collaboration from various partner organizations and consulting teams, including Tripepi Smith that provided critical assistance with communication efforts related to the project.

“Making Pacifica sustainable required a different perspective and a new approach to strategic planning. It took patience and years of dedicated effort,” said Pacifica City Manager Kevin Woodhouse. “When we launched the ‘Vision 2025 & Beyond’ initiative, our goal was to ensure that our mission was effectively communicated to the community.”

Mr. Woodhouse added, “Our partnership with Tripepi Smith played a crucial role in bringing our communication vision to life, from social media to the interactive webpage. This collaboration ensured that our residents and stakeholders received clear, engaging messages, encouraging them to help build a sustainable future for our City.”

Tripepi Smith’s project team consisted of Senior Business Analyst Sydni Overly, Business Analysts Melanie Moore and Peter Johnson and Junior Business Analyst Mia Valenzuela

“It is incredibly fulfilling to see our collaboration with Pacifica recognized by CALED,” said Sydni. “Through this project, we had the opportunity to share valuable information with residents about future measures that would foster the wellbeing and growth of the community. Our team is happy to hear about their achievement, and are proud to have assisted in the endeavor.”
