The Bellflower-Somerset Mutual Water Company (BSMWC) has a new face on the Internet after partnering with Tripepi Smith to completely replace its old website. In light of the severe drought impacting California and the ongoing water conservation requirements put on the Company by the state of California, BWMWC wanted to improve its website to be a better communications tool for its ratepayers.

The neScreen Shot 2015-09-15 at 9.45.32 AMw website features significant improvements, including:

  • New electronic forms for basic transactions with the Company
  • Improved access to backend management to empower staff to make changes to the website content without needing to contact a developer
  • A responsive user interface that scales down to smaller mobile devices to enable connectivity for ratepayers on the move

Tripepi Smith worked directly with Ken Deck, General Manager and Cathy Cortez, Office Manager, to execute the project. The overall timeline to execute was about three months. Tripepi Smith developed a specification document with the client, presented design options, migrated existing content, inserted new content, tested and launched the website.

“Tripepi Smith made this project much easier to accomplish than I thought it would be. Their process ensures success and the team is highly-responsive to questions and feedback,” said Cathy Cortez, Office Manager at BSMWC. “Our ratepayers will benefit from our improved web presence and partnering with Tripepi Smith is a big reason for making it a success.”

“Bellflower-Somerset has a small team of dedicated staff who faced a challenge with their existing website. It was natural to partner with them, and Tripepi Smith brought our prior experience with water agencies to the project to make the process as painless as possible,” said Ryder Todd Smith, President of Tripepi Smith. “Bellflower-Somerset plays a critical role in the lives of the ratepayers it serves, and they now have a website capable of informing their customers.”
