New Palmdale Water District Website
Palmdale Water District has a new home on the Internet with help from Tripepi Smith & Associates (www.palmdalewater.org).
For nearly 100 years, Palmdale Water District has provided high quality water to the residents of the Palmdale area. The District produces an average of 6.83 billion gallons of clean, healthy water each year using more than 400 miles of pipe, 24 wells, 20 tanks, 2 reservoirs, and a state of the art treatment plant. Overseen by an elected board of five ratepayers, the District staff is focused on efficiently managing precious water resources while cost-effectively maintaining water infrastructure at peak performance.
The new website is simple to navigate and easy to maintain. It was built on the WordPress platform with open-source software that frees the District up to control its Internet destiny. New features of the website include:
- Improved search functionality
- Easy back end management system
- Responsive design that scales to mobile devices
- Connectivity to third-party applications for bill payment, RFP management and electronic newsletter services
- Clean design with a rotating homepage image that can be used to emphasize important District messages
- A Transparency Center to make information on the District easier to find
