The City of Napa Enlists Tripepi Smith for an Online State of the City
The City of Napa turned to team Tripepi Smith in early 2021 to help roll-out a new online format for their 2020 State of the City. The State of the City, which Napa produces annually, aims to provide the community with a snapshot of highlights from the year and glimpses of upcoming projects.
Senior Business Analyst Bria Balliet led the effort alongside Director Jon Barilone and Junior Business Analyst Alex Applegate to define and organize the content. In collaboration with the City, Alex carried out the content writing and outreach process, and Bria finalized the content and designed the digital booklet. Together, the Tripepi Smith team delivered a result that balanced beautiful and interactive design with essential information that encapsulated the City of Napa’s 2020 year.
“We couldn’t be happier with the final product. 2020 was a difficult year for many people, but Tripepi Smith’s work on the State of the City highlights Napa’s resiliency by going beyond the impacts of COVID-19 to connect the community to our programs and offerings,” said Deputy City Manager Liz Habkirk, “The original plan was just for Tripepi Smith to create content for the 2020 State of the City, but we were so impressed with the quality of the work that we asked the firm to carry out the entire booklet design process.”
The booklet features the City of Napa’s accomplishments from 2020, as well as information regarding changes in programming, adaptations of city services and work put in to respond to the challenges of COVID-19. The design and content were intended to represent all of the departments within Napa and showcase their achievements in a way that was exciting for the community to engage with.
“I loved collaborating with the team at Napa,” said Bria, “They are very organized and a great city to work with, so it was rewarding to be able to put all of their hard work to support their residents into a visual product for the community to enjoy.”
