Living Coral in 2019
Pantone has announced its Color of the Year for 2019: Living Coral.
The world-renowned leader in color information describes the hue as “an animating and life-affirming coral hue with a golden undertone that energizes and enlivens with a softer edge.” Additionally, Pantone’s consulting group of high-profile colorists, Pantone Color Institute, pins Living Coral’s vibrancy and warmth as inspiration for finding connection in a world where digital technology and social media are increasingly embedded into our daily lives. This color, Pantone says, is both sociable and spirited, feeding and nourishing to the part of ourselves that continuously seeks authentic and immersive connection through experience and play in the world–both real and digital.
Tripepi Smith suggests clients consider using Pantone’s Color of the Year to refresh their organization’s persona and messaging in the forthcoming year. Here are four ways to integrate it into your work and space:
1. Create a Living Coral option of your products, if you offer any.
2. Attract people to your booth with a Living Coral table cover or Living Coral-colored swag.
TIP: Make sure to use a black or white version of your logo so it stands out against the Living Coral.
3. Add a modest Living Coral accent to images or Living Coral elements on your marketing materials, including collateral and social media.
4. If your organization has a public space, like a waiting room, add Living Coral pieces. You can use a black or white frame to showcase a print of Living Coral or place Living Coral-colored throw pillows or vases as accents.
