Headshot of Kevork KurdoghlianTripepi Smith is pleased to announce the promotion of Kevork Kurdoghlian to Business Analyst. Kevork joined the Tripepi Smith team in September 2021, and his promotion – which took effect April 16, 2022 – reflects the immediate impact he has had at Tripepi Smith.

“When Kevork arrived at Tripepi Smith, he brought a breadth of knowledge from his prior professional experiences in media, public relations and local government. He immediately applied that knowledge to support our clients in advancing their goals,” said Tripepi Smith President Ryder Todd Smith. “Kevork’s solid foundation in local government and communications, and rapidly advancing project management skills earned him this promotion.”

Kevork graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and the University of Southern California (USC) with a Master of Public Administration degree. While completing his graduate studies, he managed communications platforms for the City of Glendale. Kevork developed strong interviewing and storytelling skills as a local government and politics reporter for community newspapers.

Leveraging his experience in the newsroom, Kevork developed his media relations skill as an account executive at an education reform-focused public relations firm. There he also learned applied client management, project management and strategic communications skills. His current client work includes the City of Fontana, City of Baldwin Park, City of Westlake Village, HdL Companies, City of Culver City Transportation Department, and City of Renton.

“I’m grateful for the opportunities Tripepi Smith creates to support the public servants who work hard everyday to make their communities a better place,” Kevork said. “At Tripepi Smith, my work and my commitment to public service and communications are in perfect alignment. Thanks to supportive teammates and an ‘Always Be Learning’ culture, I’m excited to take on new challenges and responsibilities and to continue to grow at Tripepi Smith.”

At Tripepi Smith, Kevork has achieved certifications in Hootsuite Social Media Marketing, Twitter Ads and Meltwater. His Meltwater training, coupled with past experience with Meltwater, has enabled him to support the expansion of Tripepi Smith’s new Media Intelligence Services, which helps clients stay on top of important media coverage, social media conversations and develop effective media relations strategies.

In the past year, Tripepi Smith has supported over 200 organizations with their outreach and communication needs. The firm has also expanded its services into the talent space with the creation of TS Talent Solutions. Its media group has expanded its footprint with the growth of PublicCEO and Civic Business Journal. Finally, with the recent completion of an acquisition, Tripepi Smith’s service in council chamber and event video production has grown dramatically.
