Principal Jon Barilone to Attend the 2022 CAPIO Emergency Communications Academy
Tripepi Smith Principal Jon Barilone will soon expand the firm’s expertise in emergency communication management. Jon will be joining the California Association of Public Information Officials (CAPIO) for their Emergency Communications Academy on May 17 and 18, 2022.
During the Academy, attendees will learn about several aspects of emergency communications, including: leading during a crisis, working with multiple agencies during emergencies and combating misinformation. On day two of the event, attendees will be onsite at the Cal OES State Emergency Operations Center in Mather, California. There, they will apply their new knowledge through team exercises that help them learn about press conferences, on-camera interviews and the organization of joint information centers (JICs).
