Jennifer Vaughn Joins Tripepi Smith as a Director
Jennifer Vaughn joins Tripepi Smith as its newest Director on January 7, 2022 bringing over 20 years of experience in the public sector working for local government and public utilities.
“I couldn’t be more excited to double the Tripepi Smith organization’s presence in Texas,” said Jennifer. “It’s a wonderful opportunity to capitalize on the longstanding relationships I’ve built in California as well as expand into the booming Texas market.”
Jennifer is a seasoned public affairs professional with a background in energy and local government. Most recently, Jennifer served as Southern California Gas Company’s (SoCalGas) Public Policy Manager where she provided policy direction and strategy to promote clean energy initiatives. She was also responsible for training hundreds of her fellow employees on SoCalGas initiatives. However, she spent the majority of her career at SoCalGas as a Public Affairs Manager where she served as the face of the company to dozens of Orange County cities, their staff, residents and their represented elected officials at the state and federal level. She led a team of program managers that provided energy efficiency solutions to local governments throughout California.
Jennifer’s local government experience began with the City of Anaheim and the City of Pasadena where she was involved with planning, economic development, finance and public utilities.
“Jennifer’s extensive experience with local government, public utilities and strategic communication and marketing provide additional expertise to our growing army of professionals,” said CFO Nicole Smith. “I’m excited to add another Jennifer from Texas by way of California to the team.”
Jennifer will lead client accounts in both California and Texas and provide ongoing mentorship and direction to the team.
