Tripepi Smith produced the 2019 State of the City video for the City of Indian Wells. The event was held on April 18, 2019, at the Indian Wells Golf Resort Celebrity Ballroom.

Tripepi Smith Senior Business Analyst and Videographer Cameron Grimm lead the project, guiding event logistics, video production and script writing. Business Analyst Saara Lampwalla supported Cameron’s efforts during a two-day shoot of interviews with key voices in the community as well as capturing the City’s world-renowned destinations, including the Indian Wells Tennis Garden and Indian Wells Golf Resort. Additionally, Tripepi Smith delivered extensive drone video to showcase the stunning landscapes and amazing vistas that embody the Indian Wells lifestyle.

“Tripepi Smith was a strong partner with our City Staff in making the 2019 State of the City Address the best yet. The format of the program and the quality of the visual imagery were exactly what I hoped for, and we were able to clearly communicate the progress we are making in Indian Wells,” commented Ted J. Mertens, mayor of Indian Wells. “Tripepi Smith continues to be one of our trusted partners in connecting with our residents and bringing our community together.”

The presentation featured six videos, covering the City’s progress in economic development, fiscal sustainability, marketing and tourism and public safety and including a message from Mayor Mertens. An opening video featured community members and public servants discussing the Indian Wells lifestyle.

During the shoot, Cameron and Saara conducted interviews with Lt. Justin Rowan of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Executive Director of Desert Town Hall Beck Kurtz and Indian Wells resident Shelly Fraser. They also worked with each city council member to record the voice overs that accompany each video.

Tripepi Smith President Ryder Todd Smith provided event support the day of the Address, coordinating logistics and filming the event.

“Indian Wells is a stunning environment to film in–we worked hard to gather shots that could showcase its beauty and sophistication,” said Cameron. “Saara and I enjoyed traveling throughout the City and meeting with a variety of people to capture the essence of Indian Wells. The City has significant accomplishments to share with their residents, and as a team, we appreciate the trust they placed in us to tell its story.”
